More About Tooth Discoloration

Discoloration can occur due to what we eat or drink, and is sometimes a natural part of the tooth's pigment. Often, many years of eating, smoking and/or drinking coffee, tea or wine can leave teeth with a less than brilliant, yellowed appearance. In other cases, natural pigmentation or antibiotics will give the teeth a grayish tone.

Regardless, whitening can lighten the teeth, from a few shades to several, depending on the type of staining and its severity.  The tooth whitening can also brighten the teeth's natural pigmentation. Your teeth will be noticeably brighter afterwards.
